Body Temperature
CardioMood uses wearables from our technology partner Corsano Health, whose CE-MDR certified devices feature temperature monitoring validated against electronic pill reference and certified thermometers.
Validation Results
Temperature validation conducted at VDE Institute and Basel University Hospital.
Skin & Core Temperature
Both skin temperature and core body temperature (CBT) are validated separately using gold-standard references appropriate for each measurement.
Skin Temperature
Validated at VDE Prüf- und Zertifizierungsinstitut GmbH per ISO 80601-2-56 against certified reference thermometers.
Core Body Temperature
Validated at Basel University Hospital against ingestible electronic pill reference (gold standard for CBT measurement).
Why Two Temperature Measurements?
Reflects peripheral circulation and responds quickly to environmental changes. Useful for detecting fever onset and circulation issues.
Reflects true internal body temperature. More stable and clinically meaningful for fever detection and circadian rhythm tracking.
What Temperature Monitoring Enables
Early Illness Detection
Detect fever onset hours before symptoms appear through continuous monitoring.
Circadian Rhythm
Track CBT patterns to understand sleep-wake cycles and optimize sleep timing.
Ovulation Tracking
CBT rises 0.3-0.5°C during ovulation, enabling fertility awareness.
Recovery Monitoring
Track temperature normalization during illness recovery.
Exercise Thermoregulation
Monitor body temperature during exercise to prevent overheating.
Elderly Care
Continuous monitoring detects temperature changes that indicate health issues.
